In this chapter, national and universal online encyclopedias from countries in the Americas are shown on the map. In addition, since the United States has a well-developed network of online encyclopedias dedicated to individual states, we provide information about these encyclopedias on a separate map. They are general reference platforms about regions rather than national or universal encyclopedias, and therefore are not included in the General Index
